zoo byla založena 1983. V letech 2004 - 2007 prošla rozsáhlými rekonstrukcemi, neboť nesplňovala standardy moderního chovu zvířat (problém mnoha rumunských zoo po vstupu Rumunska do EU). Lvi, tygři, medvědi, vlci, lišky, tchoři, makaci, asijští divocí osli, divočáci, kozorožci, paovce, mufloni, daňci, sobi, buvoli, jaci, veverky, zajíci, dikobrazi, nutrie, pštrosi, emu, pelikáni, bažanti, vodní ptáci, leguán, domácí zvířata (poníci, kozy, ovce, vietnamská prasata, mangalice, husy, kachny, krůty, slepice, perličky, holubi...) atd.

In 2004 - 2007, it has undergone extensive renovations, because did not meet the standards of modern animal breeding (the problem of many Romanian zoo after Romania's accession to the EU). Lions, tigers, bears, wolves, foxes, polecats, macaques, Asian wild asses, wild boars, ibexes, Barbary sheep, moufflons, fallow deer, reindeer, , buffaloes, yaks, squirrels, hares, porcupines, nutrias, ostriches, emus, pelicans, pheasants, waterfowls, iguana, domestic animals (ponies, goats, sheep, pot-bellied pigs, mangalica pigs, geese, ducks, turkeys, hens, guinea fowls, pigeons...)etc.
