historie Omské dětské zoo se začala psát v roce 1983 coby
kolekce okrasných ptáků v Městské stanici přírodovědců. O dva
roky později (1985) se Stanice přestěhovala do centra města (na
větší pozemek) a z kolekce okrasných ptáků se stal Ornitopark s
více než 50 druhy ptáků (od amadiny po pelikána). 1988 přibyla i
další zvířata a Ornitopark se změnil na zoo. 1995 bylo otevřeno
akvárium a 1996 terárium. Dnes 5 expozic - akvárium, terárium,
okrasní ptáci, savci a obecná ornitologie. Téměř 200 druhů
zvířat - lišky, surikaty, mangusty, nosáli, jezevci, kosmani,
srnci, jeleni, lamy, osli, poníci, klokani, ježci, veverky

dravci, sovy, papoušci, tukani, turaka, okrasní drobní pěvci,
bažanti, vodní ptáci, pelikáni, volavky, čejky, krokodýli,

History of Omsk Children's zoo began in 1983 as a Collection of
ornamental birds in Municipal Station of Naturalists. Two years
later (1985), the Station was moved to the city center (to
larger land) and from the Collection of ornamental birds became
Ornithopark with more than 50 species of birds (from parrotfinch
to pelican). 1988, also other animals were added and Ornithopark
turned into a zoo. 1995, an aquarium was opened and 1996 also
terrarium. Today five exhibitions - aquarium, terrarium,
ornamental birds, mammals and general ornithology. Nearly 200
species of animals - foxes, meerkats, mongooses, coatis,
badgers, marmosets, red and roe deer, llamas, donkeys, ponies,
wallabies, hedgehogs, Prevost's squirrels, porcupines, pacas and
other rodents, emus, cranes, raptors, owls, parrots, toucans,
turacos, small ornamental songbirds, pheasants, waterfowl,
pelicans, herons, lapwings, crocodiles, lizards, snakes,
turtles, frogs, fish
